Morocco: Held hostage for 20 years by his own family

An elderly man, identified as HA, was discovered chained in a family home from the village of Taghzout, in the Ouarzazate region.

Well-informed sources revealed that the man had been held by his family for two decades. Alerted, the gendarmes of the regional directorate of Ouarzazate, acting under the directives of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, released the individual.
