Morocco: Healer on trial for doctor’s death

The trial of an individual presented as a “healer”, accused of being responsible for the death of a doctor in Rabat, will open tomorrow, Thursday, before the court of first instance.

The victim, the wife of a renowned doctor in Rabat, suffered from a chronic illness. In desperation, she turned to the accused, who promised her a miraculous cure for a sum of 300,000 dirhams. The Raqi then allegedly administered potions to her, the exact composition of which remains unclear.
