“Morocco has the best players in the world”

Soufian Charraoui looks back on the incredible 50-match unbeaten run of the Moroccan futsal team, which was ended by Spain on Monday, August 12 in Rabat by winning 2-4 in a friendly match. The 27-year-old remains convinced that Morocco will win the next Futsal World Cup, which will take place in Uzbekistan from September 14 to October 6, 2024.

In an exclusive interview with the FIFA website, the 27-year-old expressed his pride in the unbeaten run. “It was really incredible… We train a lot, we work very hard. The coach prepares us for every match. We want to win every game. But obviously, we don’t imagine that we’re going to go 50 games without losing. I can’t believe we did it,” said Charraoui, who attributes the result to the coach’s hard work over the last 10 or 15 years.
