Morocco goes against the grain on the time change

The 2024 winter time change is approaching, and this year again, Morocco is going it alone. While France and the rest ofEurope will set their clocks back one hour during the night of Saturday October 26 to Sunday October 27, the kingdom will maintain summer time (GMT+1).

This maintenance of summer time, introduced in 2018, was not unanimous at the time. The decree, however, provides for the possibility of a one-off time change upon government decision, particularly during holy month of Ramadan. This year, the transition to winter time in Morocco should therefore occur around mid-February 2025.
