Morocco, favorite destination of Algerian tourists

Algeria’s hostile rhetoric toward Morocco has not changed anything. Algerian tourists, including art and sports celebrities like Cheb Khaled and Zinedine Zidane, continue to visit the kingdom. Artists like Faudel and Reda Taliani have even chosen Morocco as their second country.

Moroccan cities remain the favorite destinations for Algerian tourists, despite the Algerian military regime’s hostile speeches towards the kingdom. According to updated data from UN Tourism (formerly the World Tourism Organization – UNWTO), 300,000 Algerians visited Morocco between 2018 and 2022, compared to 175,000 Tunisians and 172,000 Mauritanians.
