Morocco expects a lot from Donald Trump



Morocco is expecting strengthening of cooperation with the United States with the return of Donald Trump to the White House. Rabat hopes that the American president, who had recognized the Moroccanity Su Sahara during his previous mandate, will proceed, as he announced five years ago, at the opening of an American consulate in Dakhla.


Trump’s return to the White House opens a new chapter in Moroccan-American relations. In December 2020, at the end of his first mandate, Trump recognized the Moroccanity of the Sahara in a post on X.
