Morocco: drones to combat drug trafficking
Morocco intends to strengthen its arsenal with the acquisition of new drones to enable it to effectively fight against drug trafficking and human trafficking.
Morocco intends to purchase 26 advanced drones to combat drug trafficking, human trafficking and irregular immigration, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) announced in its annual report. These drones will be of great use to the kingdom which is facing increasing challenges at its borders, which serve as a gateway between Africa and Europe. Smuggling and trafficking networks pose a constant threat. Drones will allow security forces to patrol more quickly and more effectively in remote and difficult-to-access areas, specifies the DGSN.
