Morocco: change for hotels

The Moroccan Ministry of Tourism, Crafts, Social and Solidarity Economy is undertaking an overhaul of its classification system for hotels and tourist accommodation centers.

Fatima Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Crafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, expressed her department’s ambition to review the tourist classification process for hotels. This process will now be based on the report of a visit carried out by a regional commission, whose role will be further strengthened by the control of a mystery shopper. This will have to monitor the quality of tourist services in classified hotels.
