Morocco: business leaders, don’t forget to pay your social debts!

Last week for businesses to regularize their situation with the National Social Security Fund (CNSS). Launched on October 17, 2023, the operation ends on January 15, 2025.

This social amnesty concerns CNSS debts unpaid as of December 31, 2024. Initiated by the CNSS and the Ministry of Finance, the operation offers the companies concerned the possibility of paying all of their debts, or of requesting an installment of payment over a period 24 months or more, reports The Economistrecalling that “in the event of non-payment of social security contributions, the penalty rate applied from the first month or fraction of a month of delay is 3% of the unpaid amount, followed by 1% for each additional month of delay”.
