Morocco: bad patch for hotel and catering industry
Deserted, the hotels and restaurants located in the cities of northern Morocco, particularly Al Hoceima, are in great difficulty.

In Al Hoceima, one of the busiest tourist destinations during the summer season, hotels, restaurants and cafes are facing an acute lack of customers. “The situation is very bad this year. We are seeing a significant drop in bookings and customers compared to previous years. (…) Hotels are suffering from an unprecedented lack of occupancy this summer,” worries Mohammeda, a player in the tourism sector who manages a hotel establishment.
