Morocco: Anonymous SIM cards will be deactivated

As part of the strengthening of the fight against cybercrime, telecom operators are required to identify all their subscribers, recently announced Ghita Mezzour, Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.

A deadline of “three months has been set to have all the information proving the identity of a subscriber in the database, failing which the operator concerned is required to cancel and deactivate the telephone card in question,” Mezzour said during a session at the House of Representatives.
