Morocco: amusement parks, hot air balloon zones, etc. before 2030

Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Crafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, unveiled the government’s ambitious vision of “positioning Morocco among the fifteen best tourist destinations in the world, by welcoming 26 million visitors from ‘by 2030’, the year in which it organizes the World Cup, alongside Spain and Portugal.

This vision “fits perfectly into Morocco’s advanced regionalization strategy and development objectives for 2030”, declared Fatim-Zahra Ammor, in an interview with the newspaper The morning. This vision is based on the 2023-2026 roadmap which gives pride of place to the regions. “Together we have broken down our national roadmap into regional application contracts. To date, we have signed 8 out of 12 contracts with the Wilayas and Regions, in perfect alignment with their regional development plans. Monitoring commissions, chaired by walis, ensure the effective execution of these plans,” the minister indicated.
