Morocco, African tourism champion, overtakes Egypt

Morocco stole the spotlight from Egypt in 2024, becoming the number one tourist destination in Africa.

Egypt, which had dominated the sector for many years, welcomed around 15.7 million tourists, according to statements by Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reported by the agency Ecofin.
