Morocco adopts electronic family record books

Faced with the shortage of family record books in certain civil status services, the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, announced the gradual adoption of electronic family record books.

Responding to a written question from a parliamentary group about the shortage of family record books at the civil status office in the commune of Had Soualem, Abdelouafi Laftit recalled that the new legislation on civil status introduced the electronic family record book and that measures are being taken to initiate the transition to this new system.
