Morocco accused of exterminating millions of stray dogs
Five years before the 2030 World Cup, Morocco is accused of wanting to exterminate stray dogs, estimated at more than three million. A measure denounced by animal rights associations who request the intervention of FIFA to put an end to this practice.
Cases of killing and poisoning of stray dogs have been reported in Morocco in recent weeks, reports the International Animal Protection Coalition (IAWPC). “Dogs caught in traps are also taken in trucks to be killed in fake dispensaries. They are either burned in incinerators or thrown into mass graves,” denounced the association in a press release cited by The debate.
