Morocco: a welcome amnesty for businesses

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGI) announced the extension until the end of December of the deadline initially set for inactive companies to regularize their tax situation.

Companies which, for the last four financial years, have not achieved any turnover, or have paid the minimum payment of the minimum contribution, and which wish to declare bankruptcy, have the possibility of benefiting from an exemption of tax control and an automatic cancellation of sanctions for non-declaration and non-payment of taxes for non-prescribed financial years, indicated the DGI in a press release.
