Morocco: a wedding ceremony turns into a disaster

The death toll from the food poisoning that occurred last Saturday during a wedding ceremony in Douar Al-Daijjat, in the commune of Moulay Abdellah in the province of El Jadida, has increased.

The death toll rose from 96 to 152 people. The tragedy began last Saturday when several people showed symptoms of food poisoning, such as acute abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea after consuming a dish of “daghmira chicken” at a wedding dinner.
