Morocco: A school textbook with “LGBT” colors causes controversy

The Justice and Development Party (PJD) has called for the withdrawal of school textbooks whose covers are in the colours of the LGBT flag.

PJD MP Mustapha Ibrahimi questioned the Minister of National Education, Preschool Education and Sports about the presence on the market of a preschool textbook entitled “Au plaisir des premiers apprentissages” bearing the colors of the LGBT flag. In a written question addressed to Chakib Benmoussa, the MP considers the sale of this textbook, authorized by the ministry, as a “dangerous precedent.”
