Morocco: a school put up for sale with its students?

In Morocco, a real estate agent finds himself at the heart of a controversy after publishing an advertisement for the sale of a private school including the students.

“Private school for sale in Kenitra. Surface area 412 square meters, number of students 373, has three facades. Net profit 130,000 dirhams per month, price 6.4 million dirhams”. This ad, published in a space dedicated to transactions on Facebook, by a real estate agent provokes a flood of reactions on social networks. “One day, we will see our children taken hostage by one of these billionaires”, rages one Internet user. Another uses irony: “I thought that human trafficking was in the Jahilia (pre-Islamic period)”. Other Internet users continue: “No wonder in Morocco where everything is for sale, especially boys and girls”, “This is quite normal since some private schools and clinics in Morocco consider their clients as merchandise”.
