Morocco: Real estate developer defrauds clients and disappears

Dozens of residents ofEl Jadidaincluding important figures, were deceived by a dishonest real estate developer. The latter collected nearly 10 million dirhams by selling land that did not exist in a sought-after area of ​​the city.

The scam was revealed when the land, used as security for a loan, was seized by the courts to repay the developer’s debts. The victims, who had paid deposits of up to 500,000 dirhams, found themselves with nothing and denounced a scam.
