Morocco: a lake in danger

The problem of the drying up of Lake Tamda in the province of Azilal concerns MP Saïd Atghlast who addressed a written question to the Minister of Tourism, Crafts, Social and Solidarity Economy on this subject.

Said Atghlast asked what measures the ministry plans to take to find a viable solution to the problem of drying up of Lake Tamda, which plays an important role in the region’s tourism development. In addition to being the only relaxation area for local residents, the lake also attracts many visitors from neighboring regions during the summer, the parliamentarian added, stressing that this lake generates income and creates jobs for young people during the summer season.
