Moroccans cling to traditions in marriage certificate affair
In Morocco, the lifting of the marriage certificate requirement in hotels is still not unanimous. According to a recent poll, two-thirds of Moroccans say they are dissatisfied with the lifting of this measure.
Only 14% of respondents oppose hotels’ request to present marriage contracts, according to a survey conducted by Sunergia Group. Conversely, 72% of Moroccans approve of this measure as a way to preserve what they consider to be society’s values and cultural traditions. As for the remaining 14% of respondents, they have no clear opinion on this issue.
