Moroccans at the top of residence permits in France

As in 2023, Moroccans were at the top of the countries who benefited from stays in France last year.

According to the annual immigration report made public by the Ministry of the Interior, 336,700 first residence permits were issued by France last year, an increase of 1.8 % compared to 2023. At the top of the reasons for deliverance, the student titles represented a third of the total (109,300) and the family patterns a quarter (90,600), it is specified. Requests for a residence permit for reasons experienced a sharp increase of 13.5 %. Regarding requests for a residence permit for economic reasons, they stabilize around 55,600 requests.
