Moroccan YouTuber Claiming to Be Persecuted in Morocco Granted Asylum in the United States

While he entered the United States illegally, a Moroccan has just obtained political asylum for having, in several videos published on social networks, denounced fraud and scams in Morocco.

The United States has granted political asylum to Ahmed El Kri, better known as Hamouda Kolchi Dial Allah. He owes this protection to a video he published in 2016 denouncing fraud in the paving of a section of road in Jemâa-Shaim, in the province of Safi, Morocco. He had arrived in the United States illegally after crossing the Mexican border. He was arrested and spent five months in prison. While in prison, he filed an asylum application accompanied by videos and press articles relating to the cases for which he had been prosecuted, as well as the court decisions rendered against him in Morocco.
