Moroccan spies arrested in Algeria?

Algerian police claim to have dismantled a spy and intelligence network and arrested four Moroccans and three Algerians. They allegedly attempted to undermine state security. These arrests just days before the presidential elections raise questions!

It all started with information received by the competent security services on the movements of a suspicious individual of Moroccan nationality, in the center of the city of Tlemcen. During a press conference at the headquarters of the Tlemcen Court on August 24, the public prosecutor at the Tlemcen court, Mustapha Loubar, announced that the public prosecutor’s office had been notified and had ordered the opening of a preliminary investigation, reports AP. This proved fruitful: the so-called ZM, of Moroccan nationality, was arrested. He is said to have entered Algerian territory illegally. It emerges from his interrogation that he was working within an espionage and intelligence network on behalf of a foreign party, in the company of Moroccan and Algerian nationals, Loubar said.
