Moroccan small businesses under threat

Most of the major construction projects launched in Morocco as part of the preparations for the 2030 World Cup have been entrusted to large companies to the detriment of small and medium-sized companies. These large groups import construction materials, neglecting local production.

Professionals in the construction and public works sector disapprove of the choice of large groups to ignore the principle of national preference, established by the government to allow the consumption of locally produced materials.
