The European Union’s Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) has issued an alert regarding a batch of contaminated Moroccan shrimp exported to Spain.
The batch of Moroccan shrimp in question was intercepted during a check at the Spanish border. According to The newspaperA high presence of salmonella, 339 mg/kg-ppm, was detected in samples analyzed, which is well above the legal limit of 150 mg/kg-ppm authorized by the European Union.
