Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie: drones and radars to fight crime
THE Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie stepped up its anti-crime efforts in the first nine months of 2024, showing significant results. Thanks to the modernization of its equipment, in particular with the acquisition of new radars and drones, more than two million traffic violations have been recorded.
Abdellatif Loudiyi, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of the National Defense Administration, presented these figures before the Committee on Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs and Moroccans Living Abroad in the House representatives. He announced the deployment of more than 337,000 patrols on the kingdom’s roads, allowing increased and in-depth control of roads and better detection of speeding.
