Moroccan player narrowly escapes prison

The Belgian-Moroccan footballer Ilias chair saw his sentence reduced on appeal. Initially sentenced to two years in prison, one of which was suspended, for a fight that occurred in 2020, he will ultimately complete 150 hours of community service (TIG).

The events took place in the summer of 2020, during a kayaking trip between the Belgian Ardennes and northern France. A banal discussion between participants in the trip degenerated into a general fight when the buses that were supposed to take them back to their starting point arrived.
