Moroccan motorways: tolls soon more expensive?

During a presentation before the infrastructure committee on Tuesday, in response to the recommendations of the temporary exploratory mission on the National Highway Society (ADM), Nizar Baraka, said that measures are currently being studied within the framework new print contract with the National Society of Motorways of Morocco in order to master debt ”. One of these measures is “examining the possibility of revising the toll rate as a means of reaching financial balance,” said the minister. According to Baraka, it is necessary to reconsider the framework agreement signed in 2019 with the company which set the duration of the concession contract to 99 years.
