Moroccan man shot dead by police in Canada
Gatineau police officers shot and killed a man of Moroccan origin on the night of Wednesday to Thursday in the Hull sector during an intervention during which one of their colleagues was injured with a knife. An investigation was opened to elucidate this matter.
“The police officer was seriously injured by a stab wound. He suffered several injuries. He was taken to the hospital center and (he) is out of danger,” the Gatineau City Police Service (SPVG) indicated Thursday in a press release cited by Radio-Canada. Abdelmounim Hazzou, who was shot during the police intervention, “died as a result of his injuries,” the note states.
