Moroccan man dies in fire near New York

A 27-year-old Moroccan man, Ahmed Abidar, died last week following a fire in Lyndhurst, Bergen County, New York.

The fire broke out shortly after 5:30 a.m. at a home on Jay Avenue. When help arrived, the young Moroccan was unconscious on the third floor. Despite the efforts of firefighters who extracted him from the building and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, he succumbed to his injuries.
