Moroccan journalist Hamid Mahdaoui returns to prison
Moroccan journalist Hamid Mahdaoui was sentenced Monday to a year and a half in prison and a fine of 1.5 million dirhams for defamation.
Editor-in-chief of the news site Badil.info, he accused the Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi, of corruption and fraud in a video. These accusations follow a drug trafficking case involving members of the minister’s party, the Party of Authenticity and Modernity.
