Moroccan cafes and restaurants stifled

Price increases are reaching record levels in Morocco. Cafes and restaurants are being hit hard by this galloping inflation. They are facing a drastic drop in their revenues.

In a letter addressed to the Competition Council, the owners of cafes and restaurants denounce the continuous increase in the prices of raw materials and basic products over the past two years. These professionals in the catering sector affirm that this situation is becoming “unbearable”, both for them and their customers.
