Moroccan army: a historic increase in the budget for 2025

The 2025 finance bill provides a budget of 133 billion dirhams for the Ministry of Defense. A budget up compared to the year 2024 when 124 billion were allocated to this department. These funds will be used to acquire new equipment for the benefit of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).

“The amount of authorized expenditure for the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of the National Defense Administration is set at 133 billion and 453 million dirhams (133,453,000,000 MAD) for the fiscal year 2025, an amount dedicated for the acquisition and repair of equipment for the Royal Armed Forces, as well as support for the development of the defense industry,” states article 39 of the 2025 finance bill.
