Monkeypox: Morocco on alert
Monkeypox: Morocco on alert
Faced with the resurgence of monkeypox cases in Africa, the Moroccan Ministry of Health has strengthened its surveillance and response system. This decision follows the classification by the World Health Organization (WHO) of M-Pox as a public health emergency of international concern.
The Moroccan national plan, activated since June 2022, has already made it possible to detect and manage several cases. While most of these infections have proven to be benign and have not led to complications, the epidemiological situation in Africa, marked by rapid spread and a more virulent strain, requires increased vigilance.
