Mohammed VI: a speech focused on MREs

In his speech on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Green March, King Mohammed VI announced a reform in the way the affairs of Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) are managed. This is to better meet the needs of this community.

“We have decided to carry out a new transformation in the way of managing the affairs of the Moroccan community abroad. The institutions concerned will thus be restructured, so as to prevent the overlapping of their respective responsibilities and the dispersal of stakeholders and in order to ensure their adaptation to the new needs of this community,” declared Mohammed VI. Two key institutions are affected by this reform: the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad and the Mohammedia Foundation of Moroccans Living Abroad, indicated the Sovereign.
