Mohamed El Aiyate: Eight days of disappearance and an unexpected return

Mohamed El Aiyatédriver to the stars during the Paris Olympic Games and former candidate in the 2024 legislative elections in Oise, missing since August 23, reappears.

The end of an enigma that began eight days ago. The relatives of Mohamed El Aiyate, 57, an activist who became a driver to the stars – he notably escorted Zinédine Zidane and Prince Faisal of Jordan – during the Paris Olympic Games had not heard from him since August 23. His apartment was found with the door open, his keys, his phone and his car left behind. He had also left a letter in which he confided his unhappiness. His family then alerted the police of his disappearance. The public prosecutor’s office had opened an investigation into a worrying disappearance and had entrusted it to the Auneuil gendarmerie brigade. “His diabetes and the unhappiness expressed by Mohamed El Aiyate before his departure are all elements of concern that support the continuation of the search,” explained the public prosecutor of Beauvais, Frédéric Trinh. A major search operation had also been set up.
