Military power: Morocco climbs and approaches the African summit

Morocco is positioned as the 59th military power in the world out of a total of 145 countries, according to the 2025 Global Firepower ranking.

Morocco obtained a score (Power Index) of 1.1273 (0.0000 being the best score), placing itself in 59th place in the world ranking, while it was the 61st military power in the world last year. Among African countries, the kingdom comes in seventh position, behind Egypt (14th in the world), Algeria (26th), South Africa (33rd), Nigeria (36th), Ethiopia (49th) and Angola (55th).
