Mazan rape trial: harassed, Nadia El Bouroumi files complaint

Criticized for the videos she posted on social media, particularly Instagram, Nadia El Bouroumi, the criminal lawyer from the Avignon bar who is defending two men at the Mazan rape trial, is defending herself. She has decided to file a complaint for harassment and threats.

True to form, Nadia El Bouroumi revealed the behind-the-scenes of her job on her Instagram page, followed by nearly 50,000 people. This time, it was videos posted on social media to comment on the Mazan rape case. In one of the videos, she filmed herself dancing to the chorus of the song Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by the group Wham!. In another, the woman defending two men at the Mazan rape trial also filmed herself declaring: “I’m leaving the Pélicot trial. Phew! or It’s getting hot at the Assizes! She (Gisèle Pélicot, editor’s note) got angry. I took the microphone and said that she was the one who wanted it to be public and that now, it was not a question of complaining.” These videos sparked indignation.
