During this summer period marked by rising temperatures, individuals have uprooted certain trees in broad daylight on Boulevard Allal El Fassi in Marrakech, provoking the indignation of residents.
The act occurred at six in the morning, reports the Regional Observatory for the Fight against Corruption and the Protection of Public Money in Marrakech. In a statement, the institute denounced these practices that “harm the environment,” recalling the role “that trees play in cooling the dry climate of Marrakech.”
