Marrakech hardens control of furnished apartments

In Marrakech, a mixed commission has been set up to control the furnished apartments.

The proliferation of furnished apartments, in particular those rented via online reservation platforms, constitutes a major concern for the security services due to the problems which result from it, said the marrakech security wali, in an interview with daily Assabah. And for good reason, illicit practices and activities, jeopardizing security and public order, and giving rise to crimes have been identified in the furnished apartments, because “the various reservations made by electronic means escape the knowledge of security and territorial authorities ”.
