Marrakech: flagship destination for the end-of-year celebrations
Marrakech is establishing itself as a destination of choice for celebrating the holidays. The ocher city is experiencing a resurgence in tourist activity, after a slump caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The years of crisis, which saw the number of visitors drop from 13 million to 3.7 million, seem well and truly over.
“Marrakech stands out as an ideal destination for the end-of-year celebrations, attracting thousands of visitors every winter in search of a unique experience,” confides Zoubir Bouhoute, tourism expert at Challenge. It is true that the mildness of the winter climate, compared to the often freezing temperatures that we experience in Europe, the lively souks and the numerous festivities on offer are sure to appeal. Especially since Marrakech is an excellent starting point for discovering the landscapes of the High Atlas. The city has also seen a significant increase of 71% in arrivals.
