Marrakech: Disorder and chaos in Jemaâ El-Fna square

Tourists and residents of Marrakech continue to suffer the diktat of parking attendants and the exaggerated price increases of cafes, restaurants and other businesses located in and around Jamaâ El-Fna Square.

These illegal parking attendants demand exorbitant amounts from Marrakchis and visitors, sometimes double or triple the official rates. In addition to the anarchy of the “yellow vests”, the latter are also confronted with the exaggerated and unjustified increase in prices of cafes, restaurants and other businesses set up around Jamaâ El-Fna square.
