Lions of the Atlas: flawless performance marred by a few weaknesses

The Moroccan football team concluded its series of October matches with two resounding victories against the Central African Republic. The clear scores of 5-0 and 4-0, obtained during the fourth and fifth days of qualifying for the “Morocco 2025” African Cup of Nations at the Oujda Stadium of Honor, confirm the domination of the Lions of ‘Atlas in their group.

Already qualified for the final phase as host country, the Moroccan team continues its momentum with a fourth consecutive victory, consolidating its first place in the ranking. With 12 points, it is ahead of Gabon (7 points), the Central African Republic (3 points) and Lesotho, bottom with just one point. Walid Regragui, at the head of the selection, boasts an impressive record of 20 victories in 30 matches, which makes him the most capped Moroccan coach over an equivalent period. Under his leadership, the team scored 46 goals and conceded only 14, including winning their last seven matches.
