Lebanon: Moroccans’ Desperate Appeal to King Mohammed VI

As Israel continues its bombing of southern Lebanon following a day of intense deadly strikes, many Moroccans fear for their lives and are appealing to King Mohammed VI and the Moroccan embassy in Beirut.

“We are living in panic and terror because of the indiscriminate bombings by Israeli planes that have targeted several houses near ours since this morning, and we still do not know how to get out of here. (…) a raid that targeted a house in a neighboring street caused my husband to fall from his motorcycle, which caused him fractures,” he told Hespress Karima, a Moroccan woman living in the city of Sarafand, in southern Lebanon. Fears justified. “During the night from Monday to Tuesday, the army struck dozens of Hezbollah targets in many regions of southern Lebanon,” the Israeli army said in a statement on Tuesday.
