Lamine Yamal17 years old is one of the promises of world football. Of Moroccan origin, the Barça nugget has achieved exceptional performances for club and Spanish selection. The young player has the unconditional support of his family.
Born in 2007 in Esplugas de Llobregat (Barcelona) to a Moroccan father and an Equatorial Guinean mother, Yamal made his football debut at the La Roca del Vallès club, before joining La Masia, the academy of Barça. Quickly, he established himself through his talent and climbed the ranks, attracting the interest of Xavi Hernandez who called him up to Barça’s first team in 2023. In the meantime, the young 17-year-old striker chose to play for La Roja at the expense of the Atlas Lions, becoming the youngest player to debut for the Spanish national team. Since then, the nugget has set records for precociousness, both for club and national team. Yamal is among other things the youngest player and scorer in a Euro final phase and since last Saturday, the youngest scorer in a Clasico (Barça-Real Madrid).
