Jordan Bardella: a family heritage between Italy and … Morocco
If there is one thing that many people do not know about Jordan Bardella, president of the National Rally (RN), it is that he has North African origins. His paternal grandfather lives in Morocco and works as a carpenter. His first marriage was in France to a woman from an Algerian family.
Born on September 13, 1995 in Drancy (Seine-Saint-Denis), to two parents of Italian origin, Jordan Bardella also has Maghreb origins. Something he is not used to saying, especially when he highlights his Italian origins to illustrate the assimilation model he defends. Mohand Segir Mada, his maternal great-grandfather was a Kabyle, recalls Jeune Afrique in an exclusive investigation titled: “After Algeria, Morocco: new revelations on Jordan Bardella’s links with the Maghreb”. He came to France in the 1930s to work as a construction worker in Villeurbanne. According to the investigation, the paternal grandfather of the president of the National Rally (RN) lives in Morocco. His name is Guerrino Bardella. He is an Italian born in 1944 in Avito, in Lazio, who arrived in France in Montreuil in 1960. Three years later, he married for the first time Réjane Mada, daughter of Mohand Séghir Mada, with whom he had a son, Olivier Bardella, born in 1968, the father of Jordan Bardella.
