Overall Purpose of the role:
Within the ETF, Indexing & Smart Beta business line, the Capital Markets team is a multicultural team operating out of London, Frankfurt and Paris. It is responsible for monitoring and improving the liquidity of the range of Amundi ETFs, and driving the trading ecosystem to provide an efficient execution for our investors.
As a Capital Markets Specialist for the APAC region, the role holder will act as a subject matter expert on all aspects of ETF liquidity and trading for regional investors and trading partners.
They are expected to proactively manage relationships with investor dealing desks and sell-side ETF sales and trading desks (Brokers, Market Makers, Banks). They will use their expertise to identify levers to improve the liquidity of Amundi ETFs, enhance investors’ trading experience, an
Main Accountabilities:
· Develop and maintain relationships with market participants (banks, brokers and market makers) in order to increase the liquidity, visibility and distribution of Amundi ETFs
· Assist institutional clients in achieving best execution when trading Amundi ETFs, including working with liquidity providers and brokers to ensure efficient trading of Amundi ETFs both on exchange and over the counter (OTC)
· Educate investors on ETF trading and execution and provide insight on relevant developments across the industry
· Partner closely with sales to meet investors as necessary, identify potential prospects and provide subject matter expertise on trading-related topics
· Support the Platform Management team in its core missions:
· Primary Market: oversee, manage and improve Primary Market to minimise risk and improve efficiency
· Secondary Market: improve and monitor Secondary Market liquidity on the Amundi ETF range
· Range Management: oversee the product-lifecycle on trading- and liquidity-related aspects
· Act as a subject matter expert on product-related topics, providing investors with detailed views and explanation regarding structure, replication and methodology of Amundi ETFs
· Act as a local relay for the export of the Amundi UCITS ETF range
Job qualifications and Skills
· Bachelor degree; 5-year degree preferred
· Previous experience (3+ years) in ETF Capital Markets or equivalent (ETF product management, sales or trading)
· Proven ETF expertise and in-depth product knowledge, to promote ETF usage
· Outstanding knowledge of financial markets and pricing dynamics across instruments and asset classes
· Sound understanding of the drivers of ETF liquidity
· Proficient with Bloomberg, VBA and Excel
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Adaptability, autonomy, rigor and resilience
· Drive, focus, and efficient time management
· Strong commercial mindset able to deliver in a multi-cultural environment
