Istanbul: SUV theft by a Moroccan escalates

A Moroccan man driving a stolen SUV killed another motorist and injured others in Avcılar, one of the 39 districts of the city of Istanbul, Turkey.

This unfortunate incident occurred last Friday. Darwich Nassim, an American of Moroccan origin, went to a dealership in Cihangir Mahallesi around 3:40 p.m. He says he is interested in purchasing an SUV. He gets into the vehicle, asks to test it and flees with it. Nassim crashes into vehicles on the D-100 secondary road, others in front of him near the central Avcılar metrobus station before heading towards those who try to stop him, local press reports.
